The
Powerstroll wheelchair powerpack will turn most manual wheelchairs into a carer controlled
powered wheelchair. It takes the strain out of pushing a heavy
wheelchair and makes easy work of hills, ramps and uneven surfaces.
It's unique design means that it can be fitted and removed very easily in seconds.
Two clamps are fitted to the bottom frame of the wheelchair but still allow it to fold as normal with the pack removed.
The power pack is held unobtrusively between the clamps with a spring loaded spreader bar and secured with a wing nut.
The sealed battery is slotted into the tray which is located on the spreader bar,and the cover attached.
Clip the hand control lever to either push handle, connect the elasticated cable to the speed control and you are ready to go.The control lever is clipped to either the left or right push handle,
the elasticated cable is connected to the speed control and the
Powerstroll is then ready to go.
The
Powerstroll features easy to fit hand grip extensions to allow for
greater comfort and to help prevent the attendant from accidentally
catching the motor with their feet during use.
The fully-automatic charger plugs straight into the battery via any
electric mains socket. Charging time is up to eight hours and you
cannot overcharge the battery.
If you wish to lift the wheels off the floor at any time simply hook the lifting strap up one notch and this will lift the wheel off the floor.

Powerstroll’s that we launched in 2008, we now complete the range with
two new models. The first New Powerstroll is a dual wheel model that
includes a user friendly reverse function. The second is our New Heavy
Duty Powerstroll, this is also a dual wheel model that features reverse
but has an excellent weight capacity of 180kg (28st).
