At Active Mobility Centre, we have a wide range of wheelchair belts, lap belts, and support straps. When used correctly, these devices can stop the wheelchair user from toppling or sliding forward when moving around in the chair, or when negotiating difficult obstacles like steps.
We have straightforward padded wheelchair lap belts that are used to prevent users from sliding forward but that can be easily removed when not needed. Some may prefer to use a Butterfly harness, or one of our foam torso supports, for extra security.
Or perhaps a Universal Elastic Wheelchair Strap (a versatile, easily removable trunk support, abdominal support or positioning tool for therapists, users and caregivers) is what’s called for. If you’re at all sporty, the strap can also be used to secure the legs around the thighs or calves for more intense activities.
