VAT Information

Where the product qualifies for VAT relief two prices, one with and one  without VAT added will be shown. Some products are not eligible for VAT relief, and these products are always listed with VAT Inclusive prices - this means that the price you see is the price that you pay. (unless your order is to be delivered outside UK mainland)

How to claim VAT Relief on your purchases

You can buy many of the products listed on our website without having to pay VAT. Those products which are eligible for VAT relief are shown on the website and in your shopping basket at a 0% VAT rate. You can claim this 0% VAT rate if you are chronically sick or have a disabling condition, and the products you are buying (or buying on someone's behalf) are to help you or them personally.

The government requires that you complete a VAT declaration form, and we are pleased to say that you can now do this online. You'll see the form when you are placing your order: it notes down your details and disability using our secure server. Most of the form is already filled in for you, so you need to just check it, type your name and nature of your disabilty, and press the button at the bottom of the page.

Goods that are dispatched to addresses outside of the European Union are generally not subject to EU VAT. When ordering goods from Active Mobility Centre Ltd for delivery overseas, you may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

  • If you are eligible for VAT relief and if you complete our online declaration form, you will not be charged VAT where exemptions are available.
  • If you do not complete the form, or you are not eligible for VAT relief, we are obliged to charge you the full 20% VAT on the whole of your order.
  • Not all of our products are eligible for VAT relief, so we are obliged to charge VAT for those products even after you complete this form.
