How to claim VAT Relief on your purchases
You can buy many of the products listed on our website without having to pay VAT. Those products which are eligible for VAT relief are shown on the website and in your shopping basket at a 0% VAT rate. You can claim this 0% VAT rate if you are chronically sick or have a disabling condition, and the products you are buying (or buying on someone's behalf) are to help you or them personally.
When you click on the product if the product is eligible for VAT exemption you will see prices including and excluding VAT. If the product does not qualify for VAT exemption you will only see the price that includes VAT.
When you get to the Checkout scroll down until you see VAT Exemption. If you are claiming VAT exemption, make sure the VAT exemption button is Green then choose your disability from the drop-down menu. If you are not claiming VAT exemption, then please click on the Green VAT exemption button to turn it Red and VAT will be added to your order.
If you are having problems whilst trying to place an order then please contact our Customer Services Team on 01642 805050 or email@example.com who will be able to assist you.
Goods that are dispatched to addresses outside of the European Union are generally not subject to EU VAT. When ordering goods from Active Mobility Centre Ltd for delivery overseas, you may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
- If you are eligible for VAT relief and if you complete our online declaration form, you will not be charged VAT where exemptions are available.
- If you do not complete the form, or you are not eligible for VAT relief, we are obliged to charge you the full 20% VAT on the whole of your order.
- Not all of our products are eligible for VAT relief, so we are obliged to charge VAT for those products even after you complete this form.
